PDFs save you time and money!
Adobe's PDF (Portable Document Format) standard is the best way for InSpe to get your files to print out quick and easily on our digital preses. This standard has fast become one of the most robust and common digital print standards in the print industry. It can hold colors, images, resolution, and print information very efficiently.
Creating correct and final PDF files will save you from many of the hourly prepress charges that are associated with converting your Quark, Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator, Pagemaker, Word, and other document formats to PDF files that are required for us to print. This removes the possibilities of documents missing fonts and images, which require extra chargeable prepress time to acquire and implement, which saves you money. This makes your documents more accurate, and gives you total control over the look of your final output.
So, if you want your files to print easier, better, faster, and cheaper, just submit them as PDF files. By following these simple settings, you can create your file in a format that's ready to print for us. There are no missing resources, no extensive document reports to review, and less possibilities for time consuming missing resource issues. This can save you from paying hourly prepress charges for us to manage and convert your documents. All you need to do is set Acrobat Distiller 5.0 to the following Job Option Settings, and your files will be ready to print quicker, cheaper, and more efficiently on our digital presses.
Here are the settings you need to make standalone reliable ready to print document files.
Note for Advanced Acrobat users: If you are using Adobe's Distiller 5.0 as a printer, you can enter 300 dots per inch as the resolution, and 170 as the lines per inch. It's a CMYK printer that will map process versions of spot colors. You can set up bleeds in the document as well.
